Daily Home Learning and Long Range Projects 
All Miami-Dade County students are required to read for thirty minutes each evening.
Additional home learning assignments will be placed on the whiteboard each afternoon before the students leave. The students are responsible for copying the assignments into their agendas and completing them. They are due the next day.
Periodically students will be given a long term assignment. They will be told the due date long before the assignment is due.
All assignments are to be turned in on time. If a student fails to submit an assignment on time, he may submit it one day late for a letter grade lower. After that the assignment will not be accepted.
Accelerated Reader
Students should be reading at home for AR. Every student is expected to meet his AR Goal of 5 points the fourth nine week period. Remember the percentage correct is calculated for a second AR grade. Our school library is closed, and I have reduced the AR goal for that reason. A periodic trip to the public library is a great motivator and a nice learning experience.
I am so proud of our class. Every student met their AR goal for the third quarter. Keep up the good work.
Harcourt Math Textbook Online
I have made the students' math textbook available online. I hope this helps. I reccommend that students print the page they are working on, if possible. The students will all use the same I.D. I named them Smarty Pants!

Supplies
Parents, many children need additional school supplies. Make sure your child has paper, pencils and an eraser everyday. We need tissues. It seems we have had an epidemic of colds. Please help out if you can.
