To succeed in math class, it is very important that your child knows his/her multiplication facts. By the time they reach 6th grade, drilling the facts is no longer practiced in the class and using a times chart is not usual practice. Encourage your child at home by making it fun and/or have some type of award system when they have mastered them to 10.
