SchoolRack’s MCAT and DAT guides help students choose how to prepare for two expensive, high-stakes exams. This page explains how we research, check and update that content, and how we make money.
Who reviews our content
- MCAT and medical school guides are reviewed by Nathan M., a medical student with a top-percentile MCAT score.
- DAT and dental school guides are reviewed by Bryant C., a dental student who scored well on the DAT.
Each reviewer reads the guides in their area before publication and flags anything that doesn’t match their experience or official guidance.
How we check facts
- Exam facts (sections, timing, scoring, fees, attempt limits) are checked against the official sources: the AAMC for the MCAT and the American Dental Association for the DAT.
- Prices, plans and features are checked on each course provider’s official website, and each comparison table shows the date we last checked.
- Claims we can’t verify are removed or clearly labeled, and we don’t describe hands-on testing of a product unless someone on our team actually used it.
How we compare prep courses
We compare courses on what matters most to students: price and access length, the number and quality of practice questions and full-length exams, live instruction, study tools, score guarantees and their conditions, and what real students report. No company can pay for a higher ranking.
How often we update
We review prices, plans and discount codes regularly and update the “Last updated” date only when something on the page actually changes. If you spot an error, email support@schoolrack.com and we’ll correct it.
