Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki
Located in the city of Abakaliki in Nigeria, Ebonyi State University was established in 1999. In 1991, ESUT’s Faculty of Health Sciences was founded as the school’s medical school.

Of all the universities in Ebonyi State, there’s Evangel University, Akaeze (EUA), a private Christian institution. The Assemblies of God, a Christian denomination, owns it. The university received its authorization to operate in February 2012, and classes began on November 27 of that year for the 2012/2013 academic year.
Two colleges and one school were open when the university opened its doors in Okpoto. After its initial success, it was expanded to include three other universities until finally settling on Akaeze as its permanent location.
